Globalization has helped companies all around the world to evolve into something bigger. Companies and businesses that started as SMEs are now able to sell their products, through online platforms, in places far away. Customers from around the world have access to their websites and can order both products and services.
The internet has certainly helped a lot with the evolution of small and medium enterprises. All the opportunities that have appeared over the past few years are able to do battle against the unemployment phenomenon caused by the financial crisis. And the constant evolution of the SMEs is slowly helping with the elimination of the phenomenon.
For the European Union, SMEs are considered to be a key factor against the financial crisis. They are the backbone of the European economy and they are nurtured by the Union through various actions taken every year. Those actions include the improvement of different means that can help SMEs gain a steady evolution pace. Means that can, for example, help speed up the transportation process for companies all around Europe.
Evolving the GNSS systems is a great way to promote faster and easier transportation. Better use of these systems in combination with other technologies will give companies the ability to monitor the products shipped and help the transportation process to go even faster. Just imagine ordering a product from a country 6000 miles away and have it delivered to your front door merely days later instead of weeks or, in some cases, months.
The technologies needed to assist this process already do exist but they have not yet reached full potential. A lot of research is still required. Research that demands the work of brilliant scientists working together to achieve maximum results. Big European financial frameworks like the Horizon 2020 program are focused on scientific research on every field possible. Businesses are a big part of Europe so it is no surprise that the frameworks are in the path of implementing projects to assist and assure the fast evolution of modern businesses.
Going through the 4th Industrial Revolution means that change is currently upon businesses and companies all around the world. The more the technology improves, the faster the evolution process for businesses. If there is a right way to battle unemployment then industrial and technological evolution is certainly that way!
