The Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (iED), one of the seven partners of the project “URBAGRI4WOMEN – Innovative practices and urban initiatives in the field of agriculture to promote integration of migrant women into the host society” which co-funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund of the European Union, organized and completed, in cooperation with the Municipality of Larissa, on November, 14th a networking seminar on “Methods and tools for the social integration of migrants and refugees”. The seminar, that took place at Mill of Papas in Larissa, sought to inform the public about the objectives of the project and its activities so far, as well as to provide grounds for the exchange of good practices among the participants, which included representative from the Municipality, such as Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Larissa, local organization and parties involved in the social integration of refugees and immigrants and also partners of the Institute from Turkey, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania and Albania.
The seminar was successfully completed, while the attendees had the chance to discuss among them and to exchange experiences regarding the situation related with the increased influx of migrants and refugees in European countries, as well as practical initiatives that are already in place or will be in the near future that will help the smooth inclusion of these people in local communities.
