The 6th transnational meeting for the projectCertification of disadvantaged women in remote areas” (CEDIWORES) was materialized in Krakow on 10-11 December 2013. The project is implemented in the context of the LDV Programme – Transfer of Innovation.

The basic target group of the project is composed of women in remote areas that have fewer opportunities for professional inclusion. The project aims to provide these women with the opportunity to develop and recognize their  informally acquired skills and competences in the field of entrepreneurship, while it also aims to facilitate their entry into the labour market through the institutionalization of European standards of certification.

The main theme of the meeting was to discuss the results of the process of certification, which was developed in each of the countries of the project partners. The certification aimed to evaluate the educational and professional background of the candidates, paying special attention to the qualifications and skills acquired through informal processes of education or through professional experience. In addition, the partners also discussed the different activities and actions of dissemination and exploitation, while they also focused on the progress report and the feedback that was provided. Finally, the partners moved on to discuss the final aspects related to the final report and went through all documents that are required in the final report.

Dr Anastasios Vasiliadis attended the meeting on behalf of the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, while representatives from Poland, Italy, Finland and Spain were also present.

The project is co-funded with the support of the European Commission and is materialized in the context of the Leonardo da Vinci Project, Transfer of Innovation of the European “Lifelong Learning Programme”.
