The first transnational meeting was materialised in Rome on November 22-23 2010, in the context of the Leonardo da Vinci Programme “European Certification for Executives and Volunteers of NGOs”. Modavi Onlus, as coordinating institution, welcomed the partner organizations fromGreece(InstituteofEntrepreneurship Development,Poland(Krakow University of Economics),Portugal(Youth for Exchange and Understanding) andSweden(Swedish Telepedagogic Knowledge Centre AB).
The Objective of the suggested project is the promotion of the transparency of qualifications of executives and managers of NGOs, as well as volunteers that are active and offer their voluntary work for NGOs throughout the EU. The project aims to develop a system of certification for the informal qualifications of Managers of NGOs and Volunteers respectively.
The aim of the meeting was the informing of the partners on all aspects relating to the programme and the definition of the common path that will be followed by the consortium for the best materialization of the project.
The programme is co-funded by the European Union and Lifelong Learning. The programme has duration of two (2) years and will be completed in September of 2012.
