The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a worldwide demand for career guidance services, including job search assistance, reskilling, education and training opportunities, and counselling and mentoring. Such increases reflect the uncertainty created by the pandemic among specific groups. At the same time, non-cognitive traits, those skills associated with motivation, attitude, and temperament rather than intellect, are increasingly recognized as essential skills to identify and develop career readiness.
AI predicting models support education research and guide guidance and training interventions. Predicting models provided by AI are fundamental in completing and supporting research in education to finetune interventions in guidance and training.
The GRIT project aims to improve academic performance among students and young researchers by using ML, gamification, and sentiment analysis to develop new tools for motivation and engagement. GRIT will provide recommendations and form a European network of Resilient Universities. The goal is to address the skill requirements for effectively facing societal challenges.
