Innovation in culture means the combination of traditions, modern tendencies and new trends which reshape the notion of culture. The human being, as a subject of culture, restructures and change his or her environment, including nature, various things and inner world and other people as well.
The roots of innovations
The notion of innovation first appeared in the scientific research of the German cultural specialists in the middle of XIX century and that time it meant the implementation of some elements of one culture into another. Usually, they were speaking about the implementation of the European ways of production and lifestyle into the traditional Asian and African societies. It is always important to use all the innovative approaches and tools as they will improve the way of life and will help to develop faster and better.
Social changes in culture
With the development of the Internet technologies we see crucial changes in the social behavior and lifestyles. Live communication becomes a great problem for the youth as they prefer chatting in the social networks to an eye-to-eye conversation with a friend. People become more reserved and substitute a real life with a virtual one. As a consequence, the knowledge and traditions of the families are not transferred from parents to children as they simply don’t communicate a lot.
A high speed of life and piles of tasks and obligations have a huge pressing on people. As a result, they don’t have enough time for everything they would like to do. Thus, they neglect various traditions and family rituals as they simply don’t have time for that. For example, fewer wives cook every day, because they work a lot, return home late and exhausted and it is easier for them to either buy something, order some food or, in the best case, to cook during the weekend for the whole week. So, the tradition of family dinners and home-made food slowly disappears. Very few families cook all the traditional dishes for the Christmas dinner or for Easter. In the best case they will buy them and, most likely, they don’t even know the correct list of them.
In this context, the main target of the innovative culture is to reach a so-called “eco-dynamics” (e.g. to find an optimal balance between the old, the modern and the new). The leader of the countries should take care about the development of the culture of their countries and shape this development. They should always keep in mind, that everything starts from education, so kindergartens, schools, universities, colleges, etc. should teach their students the traditions of their country, how to behave in various life situations and what the norms of moral are. As the consequence, the country will have a healthy society with a high level of culture.
