Winstone Opening Gates for Women in the Stone Sector - 1st Transnational meeting

On November 19th of 2019, the first transnational meeting for project Winstone Opening gates for Women IN the stone sector was held in Murcia, Spain. Partners from Spain, Croatia, Germany, and two organizations from Greece met for the first time to discuss the project’s future steps.

Each partner presented their organization and discussed the project’s objectives and activities. All partners contributed to working out a proposal for the distribution of tasks among partners and working teams for the main activities of the project. They also discussed dissemination activities and an evaluation plan for the project’s tasks and deliverables. The two days meeting was closed successfully, and all partners had a clear view of how to proceed with their obligations. The communication of the consortium would be maintained via virtual meetings and mail exchange until they meet again in Croatia for the 2nd TM in the Spring of 2020.

All partners will approach the described target group and stakeholders in the process of the project to raise awareness for gender equality in the stone sector. In this project, the goal is to include women in the stone sector, alter the mentality that prevails that women do not belong in this sector, and create opportunities for integration. This goal will be succeeded with the production of intellectual outputs that will include the establishment of common learning outcomes, the production of a massive open online course (MOOC), and a Handbook on the improvement of inclusion of women in the stone sector among other activities.

All partners will collaborate with each other and be involved in the overall activities of the project. After the success of their first meeting, successful cooperation is expected in order to deliver high-quality outcomes, make an impact, and accomplish the project’s purposes.
