A New Strategic Partnership: iED and CERTH

iED Has Signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CERTH

Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (iED), an award-winning Greek non-profit organization committed to the promotion of innovation and the enhancement of the entrepreneurial spirit, and Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH), a leading non-profit Research Centre in Greece and the EU supervised by the Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRI) of the Greek Ministry of Development & Investments, are proud to announce the signing of an MoU between these two organizations for strengthened cooperation on promoting innovation and digital transformation.

The MoU was signed during a meeting that was held at JOIST Innovation Park on 21 April 2022, with the participation of Dr. Anastasios Vasiliadis, President of iED, and Dr. Dimitrios Tzovaras, President of the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH), Researcher A’.

During the meeting, discussions were held on finding the best way to combine both organizations’ experience and expertise to uptake initiatives for society’s and Academia’s benefit.

iED – CERTH MoU agreed-upon actions

Both parties concluded that the best way forward for this partnership would be to take the following actions jointly:

  1. Formulate action plans or contracts that specify each future collaboration’s objectives, responsibilities, timeline, resources, and costs.
  2. To form workgroups to host meetings for information and knowledge sharing.
  3. To host seminars, conferences, educational programs, and events.
  4. Το create exhibitions for equipment, methodologies, innovations, and host other events and actions for sharing knowledge and innovation.
  5. To undertake any other action that facilitates and promotes both parties’ collaborations.

Expected impact

We expect to achieve valuable synergies, dissemination, and economies of scale in developing new technologies and innovative methodologies from this collaboration. Their application should be relevant to entrepreneurship and the training of entrepreneurs, employees, startupers, and students.

This agreement between iED and CERTH paves the road to endless opportunities for collaboration and sets the foundation to realize the digital transition in Greece.
