The website of the European project “Be Positive – A positive psychological approach to enhancing resilience and utilizing strengths in European unemployed youth” is operative and in position to provide with all the necessary information regarding the project.
The aim of the project is to develop an innovative method of training courses that will empower young unemployed and NEETS. This will be made possible through an approach based on previous work on stress, coping and resilience in occupational psychology. Within the framework of the project, the participants will be taught how to successfully assimilate stressful events by turning them into something positive, based on positive psychology constructs and processes. In addition, they will also focus on potential stressors likely to be encountered while seeking employment or an entrepreneurial activity.
The successful implementation of the project will strengthen the connection between research and vocational education and training with respect to psychosocial training for professionals working in the field, young unemployed individuals and NEETS. The implementation of a short term training course on how a positive mindset influences the process of finding employment will lead to long term positive results. The project will also lead to additional awareness raising and will stimulate a social dialogue on discrimination and social inclusion and will also improve the potential of employment for youth at the risk of being marginalized, creating a Europe without exclusion.
In the Be Positive project’s website anyone can find useful information regarding the project, the project’s outcomes and resources and the consortium of the project.
