Hundreds of years after the first industrial revolution which shaped all future technological advancements, there are two developments that defined the dawn of the 21st century; the rise of the internet and the shift towards a carbon-free global energy system. Decarbonization, decentralization and digitization are transforming the energy sector. These three global trends are changing the way we produce, distribute and consume power.
Nowadays, the Internet of Energy can help the managers make the smart energy provision a reality, while the Internet of Things (IoT) affects the energy sector in all parts of the supply chain. Our project IoE-EQ: Internet of Energy – Education and Qualification aims to address the issues, questions and concerns related to these new technological advancements, as well as provide related knowledge by holding a series of educational webinars introducing sector experts from all over Europe!
The first webinar is going to be implemented on Thursday, May 16th 2019 on 14:30 CEST, by Dr. Hamid Doost Mohammadian, Professor for Sustainability in Germany and Senior Consultant at Danish Sustainable Platforms Company in Denmark. He will be discussing challenges and problems the Internet of Energy (IoE) can solve, a great introduction to both the novices in the topic of IOE and those familiar with it!
