An event dedicated to the Development Partnership “Vision for Development” took place at the Cultural Center of Tyrnavos, Greece, on the 27^th of January 2015. The Development Partnership belongs to the program “Innovative Actions for the promotion of development and employment in the Municipality of Tyrnavos” , implemented within the framework of the “Local plans for Employment adapted to the needs of local labor markets” of the Region of Thessaly.The event was organized with the cooperation of the Municipality of Tyrnavos, the Municipal Development Enterprise of Tyrnavos, the Institute of Education and Training “DYNAMIKI”, all partners of the Development Partnership and was attended by the program beneficiaries.

During the event, the Mayor of Tyrnavos emphasized that unemployment is the most important problem that modern societies are faced with. During the last five years, unemployment in Greece is equivalent to a humanitarian crisis.

Ms. Paulina Vourtsela, the representative of the Institute of Education and Training “DYNAMIKI” informed  the participants with respect to the project progress so far and that it will be extended up to June 2015, the networking activities of various organizations for local development, the available employment opportunities and the available subsidized programs.

Immediately after, Mr. Theodoros Alexandrou, the representative of the project partner Institute of Entrepreneurship Development analyzed various issues related to entrepreneurship and the opportunities for funding new enterprises, while he also provided the beneficiaries with the business plans elaborated within the framework of the project implementation.

The speeches were followed by the awarding of the Attendance Certificates for the various training sessions of the program and the payment of the training allowances to the project beneficiaries.
