Enhancing Cultural Heritage is very important nowadays. More and more young people across Europe are not familiar with their roots or event the history of their country. At the same time, they are not able to see the similarities among the different European countries when it comes to cultural heritage.
A great way to give a good boost to cultural heritage is through social entrepreneurship. Social entrepreneurship by nature supports all sorts of cultural events, seeing as it is a way to enhance social conscience.
Young entrepreneurs across Europe are looking for ways and ideas to start building their own social enterprise. And as it has been proven Cultural heritage is indeed a great way to do so.
Through the EU funded project “PROSOA RURAL” a consortium of five organizations came together to develop a new and innovative guide that will help young people and in particular social entrepreneurs to understand the idea behind social entrepreneurship, how it can be combined with cultural heritage and finally how to build a social enterprise of their own.
Here is a quick glimpse of what is included in the guide:
- Introduction to Social Entrepreneurship and Cultural Heritage
- Developing your idea for Social Enterprise
- Business Management
- Marketing for Social Enterprises

These five pillars are have been designed to take social entrepreneurs on a journey that will result in them creating a social enterprise that will not only be able to give them a good revenue but will in its own way enhance the impact of culture and the importance of cultural heritage among European citizens.
