How can young people participate in local business events?

rural-events

Local events that promote local businesses are always attracting a lot of audience. Local businesses are a great way to promote the local economy. However, the world is changing fast and older people are no longer able to keep up with all the latest trends. Especially in the world of business.

This is why local businesses should now be run by young people. People with vision and an appetite for work and progress. Young people who are interested in learning a thing or two about setting up their own local business have a great opportunity when it comes to local events.

Local events focusing on businesses are not only able to provide them with a lot of information that they might need in the future, but they are also able to help them meet people, set up a network and perhaps even a few collaborations. This is why it is so important for every young aspiring businessman and businesswoman out there to make sure that they will be able to attend as many events as possible.

But who is organizing these events? And how will young people be able to find them? The answers in both questions are rather easy. Regarding the finding of the events, social media is the right place to look at. There is nothing stronger out there than the power of the internet and any kind of information you might be looking for is out there.

Just go online and search for all the local events that might take place near the area where you live. If the organizers want to do a good job then you are going to have not a problem finding the events. Now as to who organizes those events, there are many possible answers.

It could be local communities or local stakeholders interested in promoting the local economy. A great number of local events for businesses are also organized by the European Union, through European Projects.

One such projects it the ‘’Prosoa Rural’’. The “Prosoa Rural” project aims to develop materials that support educators in rural training centers so that they can transmit these values to young people. These materials will be based on a methodology focused on the promotion of active participation and social entrepreneurship linked to the conservation of Cultural Heritage and Traditions at local, regional, national and European level.

Objectives

The main objectives of the project are:

  1. Raise social awareness among young people in rural areas
  2. Improve the skills of young people to become more participative and active citizens.
  3. Promote social entrepreneurship among young people in rural areas.
  4. Create a greater commitment and awareness about the necessity of conserving the Cultural Heritage and the Traditions.
