InnoTrain Intellectual Output 1: Training Programs for WBL Development

Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (iED) presents the InnoTrain intellectual output 1. The project’s first deliverable is in form of training programs. It was developed in the framework of the European project “InnoTrain: Innovative Training in VET. Professional development of VET-business key actors for qualitative WBL experiences”.

A Brief Introduction to InnoTrain

This Erasmus+ project aims to foster work-based learning (WBL) in all its forms. To achieve this goal, it focuses on boosting professionally VET teachers, trainers. and mentors in school and other work-based settings. The project’s design is based on promoting VET, with the active involvement of business, education, and social partners to design and materialization. It is a strategic partnership between 9 organizations, coming from Austria, Spain, Germany, Greece, and Italy.

The Context of ΙnnoTrain Intellectual Output 1

The first deliverable of this project is aiming at the design and presentation of innovative training programs. This output addresses to VET practitioners; general education; business; social partners; and, public administrations. The innovative element, that differentiates InnoTrain from other projects of pertinent subject, is its approach of widening the target groups’ spectrum of key professionals, who can contribute to build effective and sustainable VET-business partnerships based on WBL. The project’s target groups focus on the following professionals:

  • Local public administration officers and technical staff; youth organizations; and, social partners.
  • Teachers, tutors, school directors in VET; and, people involved in all kinds of educational organizations.
  • Finally, in-company trainers, tutors, and entrepreneurs.

The process of the training programs’ development was design; testing; and, validation, through a bottom-up approach. Starting from detecting skills needs of grass roots practitioners, with a cross cutting analyses of all key actors involved in cooperation structures, in the five countries.

Upon the topics that will be explored, throughout the project’s course, are digitalization in VET, both in terms of content and tools, peer learning and team teaching.

iED supports the idea behind this project; and, considers that the InnoTrain intellectual output 1 has the potential to become a promising step towards WBL enhancement.
