The Council of Europe organises a conference on terrorism in Strasbourg, 25-26 April 2007.

“Why terrorism? Addressing the Conditions Conducive to the Spread of Terrorism”

The conference is an initiative of the Committee of Experts on Terrorism. It will bring together experts from member and observer states of the Council of Europe and include the participation of NGOs and academia as well as other international organisations. It will be conducted in plenary and include keynote speeches. It is intended as a discussion-oriented forum for exchanging information, experience and ideas and will result in conclusions which could be translated into concrete actions.
