The way we use the Internet, in particular the way we use social media, is a point of reference for both benefits, facilities and risks it may entail. A safe and conscious knowledge of using social media is the key in avoiding negative outcomes while someone is dealing with social networking platforms.
In Rende of Italy, took place the 2nd transnational meeting of the project European project ”Safe Social Media – Use Safe Of Social Media For Adults”. The purpose of this meeting was to create a digital platform including informative and educational content on the use of social media by adults.
Issues that discussed were related to the problems and risks of the social group of women aged 18-35 on social sites on the internet, and then proposed solutions and ways to deal with it. In addition, proposed tools that could be included on the platform, such as applications, questionnaires etc., to prevent and reduce the online violence.
The total material was gathered by the project partners’ and will be included on the online platform in English language, as well as in each partner’s country language.
