Language teaching approaches and methods for refugees

­Immigration is a really important topic especially during last years for all European countries as the number of incoming refugees to European Union’s countries is getting higher, so implementation methods are necessary for their life.  Additionally, local language learning is an important factor for their integration to their new social environment.

According to the above, Erasmus+ project, «LAND OF HOPE – Rebuilding the lives in the land of hope», took place in the city of Orkelljunga in Sweden with partners of Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia and Turkey. During the meeting, each partner presented good practices on Language teaching approaches and methods for refugees. Also, partners had the chance of visiting local refugees’ centers and language teaching centers for refugees for understanding the procedure of teaching approaches and methods.

Finally, the partners participated in exchange of good practices on language learning and focused on the findings like self-needs of teachers, trainers and staff in order to participate in the procedure of teaching the particular topic.
