Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, within the framework of the project “PAL – Fighting discrimination and anti-Gypsyism in education and employment in EU” (JUST/2014/RDIS/AG/DISC/8115), organize a local event entitled “Fighting discrimination and prevention of ROMA in education – Tools & methodology” aiming at training experts and professionals engaged in activities and actions for the support and education of ROMA people.
During this event, project PAL and its specific results and outputs will be presented. Also, the training material developed by the project’s partners aiming at training experts and professionals engaged in activities and actions for the support and education of ROMA people will be presented. The material includes training methodology and tools within the following fields / topics:
- Tools and methodology for the formulation of thematic and personal action plan
- Methods for use in monitoring children development
- The significance of play and learning in pre-school level
- Strategies for effective communication with families
- Legal Protection of Children
- Defining difficulties in learning as a result of social, emotional and behavior problems
- Training of Roma partners and families
The event will take place in Larissa on Thursday, 9 February 2017, 13:00 – 21:00 in the premises of the Chamber of Commerce of Larissa.
The event is addressed to experts and professionals engaged in activities and actions for the support and education of ROMA people (career counsellors, trainers, etc.), representatives from private and public organizations implementing supporting activities and actions and to any other person interested in fighting discrimination and anti-Gypsyism in education and employment.
