The Institute of Entrepreneurship Development in the frame of calls for the expression of interest in the Materialization of Plans of Action for Non Governmental Organizations – NGO that was announced by the Ministry of Employment and Social Protection undertook the materialization of five plans of action titled “EQUAL-society: NETWORK OF SUPPORT FOR WOMEN. GROWTH of SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND ACTIVATION OF VOLUNTEERS” in collaboration with local institutions – Local authorities. for the development of innovative methods for the promotion of employment.
The plans of action that will be materialized concern:
• the municipality of Antichasion,
• the municipality of Gonnon and the Agro-touristic Cooperative of Women of Gonnon – Antigonides,
• the municipality of Melivia and the Association of Women of Agiokampos-Skiti-Polydendrou,
• the municipality of Larissa
• and the municipality of Panagia
The program:
The program has duration of 12 months and aims towards the fighting of social inequality and discriminations of the two Genders through the growth of employment of women in the local economy and the enhancement of social entrepreneurship. More specifically the planning, development, networking and projection of a social enterprise of a local network of businesswomen that will undertake the production, projection and offering of local products or services with innovative processes will be realized, but always taking into consideration the social dimension. Moreover, efforts are foreseen towards the enhancement of society as a whole with the creation of cores of volunteers for the projection of the local dynamic. The program will contribute to the growth of the regions and will constitute as an important effort towards the fighting of unemployment and the equality of the two Sexes.
