The Institute of Entrepreneurship Development announces the implementation of
a workshop that is addressed to Adult Trainers with the aim of the pilot application and evaluation of tools for the evaluation of social skills and the guide for application. The workshop is implemented in the context of the European project
“ASKILLS – Assessment of social skills for better possibilities for employment” of the Leonardo da Vinci programme, Transfer of Innovation. The project aims towards the development of a system of evaluation that is addressed to adult trainers in order to, through its application, to evaluate the skills of unemployed individuals that have been informally and non-formally acquired, which have been acquired through their work experience. At this stage a database with tools of evaluation of skills of informal and non-formal learning of unemployed individuals and a relevant guide that consists of practices and guidelines for the application of the tools has been developed. The aim of the workshop, as a result, is for the adult trainers to evaluate the tools, as well as the guide for the trainer so as to determine whether it could be implemented and meet the objective of the evaluation of social skills.Throughout the duration of the workshop, some of the tools of evaluation will be applied to the participants, while they will also study the contents of the guide. All participants will also be called upon to complete an evaluation questionnaire of the tools and an evaluation questionnaire of the trainers guide.
The workshop will be held with the cooperation of the Centre for Lifelong Learning Mellon, while it is expected to engage ten (10) Adult Trainers. Participation is free, while a first come first served policy will be applied. The Workshop will be implemented in April.
