Seeking a solution to unemployment suffered by European youngsters through the promotion of entrepreneurship, several organizations, education centers and universities, joined their experience and knowledge in the fields of education, new technologies, and entrepreneurship development in European project YES, Youth Unemployment: Fostering Entrepreneurial Skills.
On April 01-04 on Lisbon several countries are also took part in the project meeting Development for Vocational Technical Education Centre (METGEM) of University of Bahcesehir Bahçeşehir University/METGEM from Τurkey, T.R. Governorship of Istanbul , from Τurkey, Young Businessman Association Of Turkey Bursa Branch from Τurkey, Instituto de Soldadura e Qualidade from Portugal, Institute of Entrepreneurship Development from Greece, Baltic Education Technology Institute from Lithuania, and Instituto Europeo de Estudios para la Formación y el Desarrollo from Spain focusing on the transfer of innovative tools and methodologies to VET providers for the development of entrepreneurship of young people.
The overall aim of the meeting was to support the development of “a sense of initiative and entrepreneurship” in young unemployed persons, equipping VET providers with methodologies, tools and competences in order to be the future entrepreneurial educators (i.e., VET teachers/trainers/professional) and thus to speed up entrepreneurship learning among young unemployed persons in all partners’ countries.
