The Final Conference of Women Making Waves

The Final Conference of Women Making Waves

The final conference of Women Making Waves in Ayukeri of Iceland signifies the successful completion of the project and the fruitful cooperation between the partners of the European project.

Although gender disparities have been acknowledged and achieving gender equality has been prioritized, the problem remains. Women are still under-represented in leading roles in various fields. “Women Making Waves: Enhancing Female Leadership Skills” is a European project aiming at strengthening disadvantaged women to break these patterns of inequality.

The Women Making Waves Project

The project of Women Making Waves was co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme. The basis of the project design was to empower disadvantaged women, to “make waves” and progress in their career fields. Specifically, the consortium aimed at boosting women’s leadership skills and strengths through awareness.
