The entrepreneurship rates of Roma are negligible – and not only compared with the majority but also compared with the entrepreneurship rates of migrants. Therefore, many Roma are still stopped from self-employment as alternative to unemployment, social exclusion and poverty. The Strategic Partnership will adequately respond to this need.
Besides, adult educators shall be enabled to implement the newly developed and accredited/certified entrepreneurship courses for Roma in the long run and to permanently train multipliers. The project ”A new Entrance” aims to develop innovative instruments for promoting entrepreneurship in the target group of Roma.
High quality Curricula for adult education will be generated in the frame of the project. With special consideration of education and labour market relevant as well as target group specific needs, they will make the implementation of entrepreneurship courses for Roma possible opening them an alternative to unemployment. Quality Standards relating to the course contents, the technical equipment and the staff will be elaborated that will be binding for the implementation of the courses.
The Curricula will not only be available in German, Greek, Hungarian and Romanian but in English and Romanes. This will not only enhance the implementation of the entrepreneurship courses with the target group but also promote the transfer into other European countries.
Throught this project will be developed:
- Specific entrepreneurship courses for Roma
- Self-evaluation tool as instrument for the check of their aptitude as entrepre-neur
- “The 101 of entrepreneurship” as guideline for the way into self-employment as download document
- Products in the partner languages, English and Romanes
The Self-evaluation tool for finding out the appropriateness as entrepreneur as online tool that is not only available for the target group Roma but all potential entrepreneurs in the partner countries, ensures the inclusion of ICT competences and responds to the digital era in adult education.
