DIH² is an innovative European project funded by Horizon 2020. DIH² promotes robotics as the technology that adds value, supports, and empowers SMEs and their economic development, all across Europe. The project is coordinated by Teknologian tutkimuskeskus VTT Oy with the support of 37 other European Partners.
The project involves 26 Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) from 26 different European countries. The project partners aim to increase that number to 170, by the year 2022. As part of this initiative, Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (iED) is now a member of the network as one of the first 26 new Digital Innovation Hubs.
iED was selected on the basis of the First Call of the Project entitled “ Call of Offers to become a member of the DIH² network”.
Aim of the Call
The DIHs that will be added to the network by the year 2022 will have a significant impact on the development as well as the evolution of the use of innovative robotic technologies across Europe, in the field of agile production.
The aim of the Call is to bring together the most important stakeholders in the field of Technology Transfer. These stakeholders will participate in the advancement of technology at a local and a pan-European level, aiming at both the innovation and the extroversion of SMEs in the international labor market.
Through its participation in DIH², the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development is recognized as one of these stakeholders. Our main goal is to strengthen the Greek Ecosystem in the field of digital evolution and innovation, so that our country can have a place among the dominant European countries in this field.
Innovation in Technology
On a daily basis, we support Small and Medium Enterprises in their effort to promote their innovative ideas. We help them through our in-house developed research and educational material as well as through European funding. As an organization we already participate in a large number of networks, aiming at advancing innovation, strengthening entrepreneurship, and developing the labor market.
Based on our many years of experience in the field of entrepreneurship and development, we plan to bring the Greek market one step closer to the innovative technological practices that are a characteristic of the large business centers in the global business scene.
