The electronic commerce (e-commerce) is a modern way to market goods and services through the use of ICTs, especially by capitalizing the advantages of Internet. In particular, rural regions can really increase their competitiveness by this way, thus avoiding their depopulation and transforming in new opportunities for economic recovery.
The project “Transform@ – Game based learning course to boost digital transformation of rural commerce sector” is aimed at increase competitiveness and job opportunities in rural areas by encouraging e-commerce. Within this framework, two training materials will be produced, an online training course on e-commerce in rural areas and a virtual interactive serious game that will allow trainees learning by experience and simulations of realistic business situations.
The online training on e-Commerce will consists of 12 modules elaborating topics such as what is e-commerce and its value, the technical aspects, the digital skills required, e-commerce opportunities in rural areas and a step by step process example. The training will be made of different tools and resources: text files, video tutorials, tests and multimedia presentations.
During the 2nd transnational meeting that took place in Antwerp of Belgium, 20 April 2017, project’s partners from Spain, Belgium, Poland, Greece and Portugal overviewed and finalized the training material which will be uploaded on the project’s platform the next months!
