ECVET Youth Entrepreneur Curriculum and how could be transferred in EU countries

Due to the economic crisis and the increase of the unemployment level, the European Union has started to support the projects which encourage the youth entrepreneurship. The aim is to incorporate the entrepreneurship curriculum into the educational system and create the standards which future professionals should meet. ECVET is the European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training. This organization provides the money for the development of common standards of vocational development, entrepreneurship and professional trainings. EU’s primary task is to create a common, standardized curriculum for the entrepreneurial education which will be implemented in the universities all over the Union. It will set the common standards of the skills which are needed for the future entrepreneurs and they will be able to work in any European country.

Needed changes in the EU system of education

First of all, the educational process should be modernized and include the innovative approaches and techniques. The teachers, professors and trainers should be provided with modern tools, equipment, techniques and materials in order they could prepare high-level professionals which will lead to leveraging the economy of the countries.  The education has to provide a competitive and applicable knowledge and skills in order the graduates could easily find a good job. The standardized certification model requires the existence of a single entrepreneur profile which is recognized all over Europe. Special authorities and organizations should study the access to the higher education and the opportunities connected with that. All the opportunities have to be used for the benefit of the development of the vocational education and training. The European Qualifications network has already developed a common European Curriculum and a common ECVET profile which have to be compared with educational standards in each country and the latest have to adjust their curriculum to them.

Entrepreneur programs in the EU countries

Turkey is very active in entrepreneurship development. Its governmental and non-governmental organizations greatly support it. Microloan, venture capital and business angels network are very popular in the country. They also support women entrepreneurship greatly. Greece has developed training programs in order to boost the economy and overcome the crisis. Those trainings are aimed to help the youth to get good professional skills to be able to find a good job. Young people study while working for business. It helps them to acquire applicable skills. Portugal and Spain still have the areas for improvement as the entrepreneurship is not included into their system of education. They have to reshape their system of education and incorporate entrepreneur curriculum in it.
