Institute of Entrepreneurship Development attended the 2nd Transnational Meeting for the European project entitled “WORTH – Youth Employment at Work Life Through Long Term Employability Skills“ in Bilbao, Spain, in which the partners from Turkey, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria and Greece had the opportunity to discuss on the results of 5-month quantitative research regarding the employability skills that young people possess or lack today.
Some of the survey results indicate that young people:
- Take initiatives
- They have confidence in their skills
- They have multitasking skills
- They are social and they pursuit networking
- They show willingness and they want to take responsibilities and duties
On the other hand, it was found that young people:
- Have difficulties in issues related to time management and scheduling
- Have limited leadership skills
- Have low level in solving business problems and
- Have high level of stress.
The next steps of the project refer to the collection of good practices on young people’s employability skills at national and European level and the development of a guide containing these case studies.
