Joblessness and underemployment among youth are two of the most challenging economic and social problems that policymakers face in developing countries. One of the primary reasons of the young unemployment and failure to satisfy the expectations of the newly graduate professionals is insufficient cross-cutting capabilities based on ICT such as e-leadership skills.
Furthermore, past developments have shown that ICT-related occupations are much more resistant to crises than most other jobs. Consequently, today, investing in e-skills entails even greater opportunities and fewer risks.
Within this framework, Institute of Entrepreneurship Development will design and develop training modules and e-learning platform. Specifically, within the framework of the European ERASMUS+ project “GILM – Global Innovative Leadership Module” a training module that will be open sourced and available for everyone will be created in collaboration with our international partners. This module will be at the international qualification standards and shaped by the experts and academics. Pilot implementation will be carried out by the target group, the young. There will be sub modules within the module.
These are:
- Competition and Innovation
- Marketing
- Strategic Planning
- Budgeting and Financial Controlling
- Entrepreneurship
- Management and Business Organization
- Data Analyze, Interpretation and Problem Solving
During the first transnational meeting that took place in Istanbul, 12 – 14 February 2016, project’s partners analyzed the current situation and designed the next steps towards the implementation of the project’s activities.
During the next meeting that will take place also in Istanbul, 15 – 29 May 2016, 24 young people from Greece, Turkey, Italy and Portugal will test the training modules and provide the partnership with useful feedback in order to improve the training material and the e-learning platform.
