iED Will Host a Side Event During the WEgate Summit 2022

Participate in iED’s Side Event During the WEgate Summit 2022

Following last year’s success, the WEgate Summit 2022 will again take place on 17 October 2022.

Apart from iED’s participation in the Summit, we will also host a side event on 3 October 2022 titled “Women Entrepreneurship & Financial Literacy: Presenting FIT’s Best Practices”.

This will be part of a series of side events, held from 1-16 October, relevant to the women entrepreneurs community and stakeholders. They will prepare the ground for the discussions on the opportunities and challenges of European entrepreneurship during the WEgate Summit 2022 main event.

Let’s find out what is the WEgate summit, more information about our side event presenting the FIT project, and how to participate.

What is WEgate?

WEgate is a diverse community of stakeholders committed to supporting women entrepreneurs around Europe as an online point of reference for women’s entrepreneurship.

Essentially it is a network of like-minded organizations that wish to provide critical entrepreneurial knowledge and inspire more women to become entrepreneurs.

The WEgate Summit is the network’s biggest annual event to celebrate female entrepreneurship with inspiring stories, innovative ideas and experiences, and networking with women entrepreneurs across Europe.

The FIT project as our WEgate Summit side event

As soon as the call side event organizers at the WEgate Summit 2022 was launched, iED could not be missing.

Understanding entrepreneurship as critical to sustainable development is one of iED’s core values, and our work, especially in women’s entrepreneurship, can reflect that.

The FIT project is one of the best examples that can fully capture the incredible work we’ve done with our partners to support women entrepreneurs in Europe.

During our WEgate Summit side event on 3 October 2022, we’ll present the training course designed to assist women entrepreneurs in launching or restructuring their businesses using circular economy business models with a sound financial basis. Further, the FIT training program teaches women the principles of social entrepreneurship to balance self-interest and social responsibility.
