The Discussions During the 3rd Meeting of REFLECT Project

REFLECT project partners met for the 3rd time in Rome on June 22, 2022. They evaluated progress and discussed the project’s future steps.

REFLECT is an Erasmus+ Project that wants to instil reflective learning in formal and informal education activities by training youth workers to support young people with poor education.

Let’s find out more about what was discussed during the meeting.

The agenda of the 3rd REFLECT project meeting

This meeting was important for the project’s successful continuation. The partners came together and better understood where the project stands and what more needs to be done.

What has been done so far

The MOOC with information and exercises on the different stages of learning is almost over. This course will be relevant to youth workers who train young people. This MOOC is based on the Learning by Doing approach by Graham Gibbs, which encourages us to think systematically about all the training phases. This MOOC comprises four modules with a total learning material of 12 hours which will be online and free.

Further, the so-called “Diary for Reflection” is also about to be released. This diary will accompany young people of poor educational backgrounds throughout their learning to learn how to learn. The diary contains questionnaires and exercises for self-reflection that can be used during or after a learning session. Diary for Reflection will be in a print format, similar to a notebook with spaces for notetaking.

What is in the works

Since the first two results are to be released soon, REFLECT has started developing its final product. The “Reflection Toolkit for Reflection in the Learning Process” uses gamification methods that will contain a board game, a card game, and a deck of Dixit cards to be used by youth workers and educators for training purposes in formal and informal education.

We agreed upon the realization of a training for youth workers and a mobility for youth in Romania in July 2022 and discussed the programming details for this training and the project’s financials and future steps.

This meeting was critical as it allowed partners to meet, discuss in-depth, exchange views and strengthen project partnership.
