TOGETHER E-Toolbox: A Digital Space to Improve Intercultural Dialogue

At the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development – iED, we are happy to announce the development of the E-Toolbox that we have created with our partners in the TOGETHER project.

If you are not already aware, TOGETHER is an Erasmus+ project that understands the importance of intercultural communication in creating a culturally diverse society. It tries to create bridges of communication between people of various backgrounds to boost social cohesion in Europe.

Europe is characterized by a rich diversity of cultures and ethnicities that have to co-exist harmoniously. And that is something the EU has largely achieved in the past decades since its foundation. But that never was/is an easy task, and Europe needs to always be proactive in that matter. The war in Ukraine is an example of how easy it is for peace to turn into a war conflict, even on European soil.

Let’s see what TOGETHER E-Toolbox is and how it can help raise cultural understanding at the national or local level.

What is the TOGETHER E-Toolbox?

The E-Toolbox that we have developed together with our partners is a digital common space dedicated to the promotion, awareness raising and knowledge-sharing on issues related to the intercultural dialogue.

The e-toolbox has three components:

  1. TOGETHER online platform:  It focuses on providing valuable information on intercultural dialogue to the general public and the project’s progress. See the promo video for the website below.
  2. E-learning environment: Part of the online platform is also an e-learning corner mainly targeting local actors and policy/decision makers. These digital courses have digitized the modules that we have co-created with our partners earlier on and made them more easily accessible to the wider audience. This part of the TOGETHER E-Toolbox uses images, videos, games, tests and other audiovisual material to make it more engaging to the end user. Further, it allows opinion sharing and networking with local actors from different countries.
  3. Mobile App: a form of a Progressive Web Application (PWA) for self-managed training of our target groups. The idea behind the development of the mobile app is to use smartphones that have become integral parts of our interaction and communication with other people in the 21st century. You can find it and download it here.

We are very proud of the E-Toolbox that we have developed together with our partners. We hope that it can become a valuable resource of information on intercultural dialogue in Europe. Finally, to help us understand better our differences, our uniqueness, but most importantly, what connects us.

To learn more information about the TOGETHER E-Toolbox, our other results, or the project itself, you can visit the official website of the partnership.
