‘Social Entrepreneurship in Youth Work – Developing employability and innovations amongst the youth people’ is an 18 month long project, implemented by a consortium of experts from Belgium, Greece and Malta aiming at the promotion of entrepreneurship education in youth work.
The project is set around the trend of development of youth work as a tool to combat unemployment among young people with two publications being the support tools for all youth workers.
Mentorship Guideline for Youth Workers: How to mentor young people to start their own business
This publication is a support tool for youth workers to Mentor and Stimulate Youth Social Entrepreneurship in their youth organisations and communities. Its main aim is to strengthen mentoring skills of youth workers, to be able to fully follow a Youth Entrepreneurship Process, from idea development to realization and provide the necessary support for the idea to be realized.
Training kit on entrepreneurship for youth work organizations:
This is a support tool for youth workers to introduce (Social) Entrepreneurship Education/Programmes related to Entrepreneurship in their youth organizations and youth center. It is divided into two parts.
- The first part is a training curriculum for educators and coaches to conduct training and learning activities on the topic of youth entrepreneurship.
- The second part is composed of the methods and practices from youth work and non-formal education, that youth workers can use to introduce and stimulate entrepreneurship in youth work activities, when working with young people on local, national or international level
The projects intellectual outputs complete the projects aim to motivate youth organizations to provide youth entrepreneurship support and further expand on this topic, to build capacities of youth workers, to reflect on the needed competences of youth workers, to act as motivators of youth for entrepreneurship and to motivate their lifelong learning competences to improve in this area.
