Objectives for Apprentices:
Across Europe, there is a demand of more enterprises getting engaged in apprenticeship – and more young people considering in-company training as appealing educational choice. However, recently stipulations for the recruitment of apprentices have increased significantly. At the same time, there is a significant number of young people that remain without a vocational training placement.
Insufficient recruitment strategies are often responsible for these problems. Providing solutions for the recruitment of young people interested in apprenticeship, thus intensifying business’ commitment to in-company training, is therefore the baseline for the ERASMUS+ project Starting with Apprenticeship (StartApp). In collaboration between organizations from Germany, Austria, Greece and Poland, it has developed solutions for small and medium sized businesses (SME) as to facilitate both the integration of young people in apprenticeships and their retainment as future skilled employees.
The conference presents the StartApp model of apprentice recruitment and conveys insight in good practice recruitment instruments. From different perspectives, it illustrates benefits that apprenticeship generates for various stakeholders across Europe – and the opportunities that StartApp offers in moving apprenticeship forward.
Target groups for Apprentices:
- Managers
- HR managers and trainers
- as well as European representatives from business, science and politics with focus on apprenticeship and work-based learning.
The conference will be held in English and German language.
Participation is free of charge.
