Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, within the framework of the European project “EVA Skills – Evaluating the soft skills of unemployed youth” develops an e-learning platform where the main target groups (VET trainers and staff) will be able to attend on-line courses and receive training from a distance. The e-learning platform will provide with the on-line courses, will include an area of Community of Practice for open discussions and exchange and will also include an e-library with important and relevant resources.
Within this framework, a short-term joint staff training event was held from 16/02/2016 to 20/02/2016 in Larissa, Greece. The seminar’s aim was the training of trainers. VET trainers from Cyprus, Germany, Sweden, Bulgaria and Romania participated at the event and were trained in order to make full and most effective use of the curriculum and tools developed in the project.
During the 1st Day the partners presented the project and its outcomes. There was organized an open event with the participation of local stakeholders who discussed about the unemployment and the importance of assessing the soft skills.
The 2nd Day begun with the presentation of the e-learning platform and some technical issues about its use. The participants had the chance to explore the platform, use the current material, discuss about its usefulness and potential problems and difficulties.
At the 3rd Day there were presented some of the tools that have been already developed by the project (Toolkit). The toolkit focuses on three selected competencies: communication skills, working in a team and handling changes/problem solving.
At the 4th Day the trainers had the chance to exercise some tools in each of the partner’s language. This activity was videotaped and will be uploaded as webinar at the e-learning platform.
Finally, at the 5th Day the participants and the partners discussed about their training experience and the next steps that have to be made for the finalization of the project.
