Social ENTerpreneurship for Immigrants

Entrepreneurship and social economy are two facets of the economy that are increasing in importance in all the involved countries and which the governments and authorities are placing great emphasis as they present with the means of exiting the crisis. By training individuals in the field we are preparing them to enter the market and thus making them more productive and competitive, having a positive effect on society and the economy.
Taking into account those situations and the huge potential of social economy and its contributions to the local development, one goal of this project SENTIM is to explore and to take advantage of the potential of social economy considering the needs of the immigrants and by extension the needs of any other people who face labor market discrimination and social exclusion.

Our target groups are mainly immigrants at risk of social exclusion but our activities plan will be address to other groups: Professionals who work with immigrants and other people at risk of social exclusion; professionals related to the training, vocational training, entrepreneurship center professionals; local and regional policy makers in education, training, entrepreneurship; volunteers who work with immigrants; people in charge of social, employment and training areas.
