Development of innovative instruments for promoting entrepreneurship of Roma

Many Roma are still stopped from self-employment as alternative to unemployment, social exclusion and poverty. The entrepreneurship rates of Roma are negligible – and not only compared with the majority but also compared with the entrepreneurship rates of migrants. The entrepreneurship offers that are existing in many countries they are not used from Roma people because these entrepreneurship courses are not targeted to the special needs of this target group.

Within the framework of the European ERASMUS+ project “A new ENTRance” will be created a curricula which will be based on the needs of the Roma community in order to help the people who wish to set up a new business activity and to teach them the basics of entrepreneurship.

During the kick off meeting that was held in Plauen, Germany, 28/11/2016, the partners discussed and finalized the draft of the curricula, the questionnaires that will be used on the surveys but also the ways that they will achieve the goals of the project.
