On October 26th and 27th, the SIRSE transnational meeting successfully concluded in Larissa, Greece. The transnational meeting occurred in person and online; and, iED hosted the partners, who attended in person, in its premises. The meeting materialization occurred in the framework of the European initiative of “SIRSE: SOCIAL INCLUSION OF REFUGEE YOUTH THROUGH SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP”.
The SIRSE Initiative
SIRSE is an Erasmus+ project, aiming at young immigrants, between the age of 25 to 30; with the overall goal to develop policies that are pertinent to life improvement and social re-integration, of this group. The core of this initiative is entrepreneurship, as the method of facilitation. This is a synergy between 8 organizations, from Turkey; Italy; and, Greece.
The SIRSE Transnational Meeting: Briefly
The restrictions due to the pandemic, were a significant obstacle for the partnership, as the second transnational meeting of the project occurred after 1,5 years of lockdowns. In this hybrid meeting, the SIRSE partnership had the opportunity to discuss the project’s implemented activities; delivered outputs; and, the project’s completion course. Moreover, the partners brainstormed on the upcoming project activities. In particular, the meeting’s content includes the following key points:
- During the meeting, the partners arranged their tasks, along with a timeline for the upcoming LTTAs in Italy and Greece, which they already are preparing.
- In addition, they discussed about the upcoming transnational meetings in Italy and Turkey; and, the multiplier Event, which will take place in Sanliurfa in the spring.
- Finally, the SIRSE partnership managed issues, related to project management and dissemination as well.
iED’s team was very happy to host the SIRSE transnational meeting and considers its overall outcome fruitful. We are looking forward to the third transnational meeting that will take place in Italy.
